To avoid this from happening in the future, always keep a look out for: 

  1. Secure URL with a proper domain name that is expected from the Sender.
  2. Hyperlinks that when hovered over don’t reveal expected Sender’s domain name and look unusual.
  3. If sender’s e-mail address is from a known and trusted source and doesn’t look suspicious.
